Teaching updates

I’m excited to announce updates to my teaching schedule. I have started teaching Vinyasa Flow on Thursdays at 9 am at the beautiful Love Yoga studio in Kalispell. The studio has lavender mist that I gently spray over the class as they lie in savasana. This has a special meaning for me because I used to do this very thing when I taught yoga to my teacher friends at "Triangle Park" on Oahu almost 15 years ago.
In a few weeks I will begin teaching on Saturdays right here in my new town of Eureka at the Creative Arts Center. The first class will be on 999...9/9 at 9 am!
Starting 9/1 at 11 am MST I will begin teaching a class that I have nicknamed "Friday 30"! This is a fun 30 minute Zoom class that you can join live or watch the recording later. $10 drop-in or free to Val B Yoga Membership clients.
Lastly, I continue to teach private lessons. After concluding a private lesson via Zoom yesterday, I reflected on the benefits of this format:
-your schedule. We find a time that works for you!
-focus on your needs and requests. Yesterday my client requested core, legs and balance.
-ask all of your questions. Before, during, and after the session.
-yoga at home. Yours and mine.
I recently got to do one of my favorite things - stand up paddleboarding aka SUPing. As I paddled on the peaceful and glassy lake I thought of some parallels between paddleboarding and my yoga practice.
Soft bend in knees
Drop the tailbone
Tall spine
Shoulders relaxed
Finding balance between effort and ease
On and off the water
On and off my mat.
